BARGAINING

The duties of the bargaining team are to represent and bargain for the members of SUTA.

CURRICULUM & INSTRUCTION

elections

The duty of the elections committee is to ensure all elections are conducted in a fair and impartial manner.

El/ML (english learner/multilingual learner)

The duty of the English Language Learner/Multilingual Language Learner committee is to provide a forum for ELL/MLL teachers to collaborate on issues related to educating some of our neediest children.

Grievance

The duty of the Grievance Committee is to represent and assist all members of the bargaining unit(s) in processing grievances. They provide training for handling grievances; and evaluate the Association’s grievance policies and procedures.

The duty of the Safety committee is to identify and address areas of violent student behavior throughout the district and ensure a safe campus for all staff and students

The duty of the Political Action committee is to identify and promote teacher friendly school board candidates

SOCIAL

The duty of the Social Committee is to plan social activities for members. Examples of this are: The Christmas Social, Day of the Teacher, The Retirement Dinner, etc.

The duty of the Special Education committee is to provide a forum for special education teachers to collaborate on issues related to educating some of our neediest children.
